Abstract:

This paper proposes a silty clay curing agent through complex formulation, and verifies its curing performance through a curing test on silty clay. Specifically, the curing agent is a compound solution of a sulfonated petroleum product called the BTS, Conaid and cement, and the curing performance of the curing agent was evaluated by the mechanical strength, resilience modulus and water stability of the modified silty clay. The results show that the BTS compound successfully enhanced the mechanical properties of the silty clay, ranging from compressive strength to water stability. In addition, the proposed curing agent was proved economic and simple to apply in roadbed construction. The research findings have great application value in road projects under strict environmental and resource constraints.
