This work aims at studying the dynamic properties of composite materials with several matrices and quasi-unidirectional fabrics with flax, carbon and glass fibres. For this purpose, a free flexural vibrations analysis was performed to characterise mechanical and dynamical properties of these materials. In-plane elastic moduli and loss factors were then identified by finite element analysis. Obtained results showed that flax/epoxy composite had specific mechanical properties similar to glass/ epoxy composite with interesting damping properties. This specificity makes it an interesting candidate to substitute partially or totally glass/epoxy composite. In addition, results showed that Flax/PP laminate is also very interesting to reduce vibration damping but its low elastic moduli makes it less competitive.
