Abstract:

The effects of non-Newtonian parameter on unsteady transient MHD free convective mass transfer flow of a viscoelastic fluid past an infinite vertical porous flat plate embedded in a porous medium in presence of constant suction and heat sink is analysed. The second order fluid model for viscoelastic fluid flow is assumed. The governing, coupled non-linear differential equations are solved by perturbation technique. Approximate solutions are obtained for velocity field, temperature field, concentration distribution, skin friction, and the rate of heat transfer. The velocity and temperature profiles are presented graphically for various viscoelastic parameters with the combination of the other flow parameters.
