MMEP enters CiteScore (2.40), SJR (0.325), and SNIP (2.066) rankings

On Tuesday June 23, Scopus announced the CiteScore, SJR, and SNIP rankings for 2019. The announcement was released at https://blog.scopus.com/posts/citescore-2019-now-live. The MMEP, a top-rated international quarterly of the IIETA, entered these rankings for the first time in its history.

The CiteScore ranking for the MMEP stood at 2.40. The ranking measures average citations received per document published in the serial.

The SJR ranking for the MMEP reached 0.325. The SJR (SCImago Journal Rank) measures weighted citations received by the serial. Citation weighting depends on subject field and prestige of the citing serial.

The SNIP ranking for the MMEP amounted to 2.006. The SNIP (Source Normalized Impact per Paper) index measures actual citations received relative to citations expected for the serial’s subject field.

Despite being a new comer in these rankings, the MMEP won relatively high recognition by Scopus. The journal ranked 174th out of the 510 journals in the field of applied mathematics, 27th out of the 61 journals in engineering (miscellaneous), and 125th out of the 274 journals in modelling and simulation.
